Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one session, without having to switch devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
For instance, you could choose to have the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen areas but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only minor issue is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and the obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that displays the time when maintenance is required like emptying the debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to view all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot mop and vacuum. In contrast to the model of last year this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners might miss.
As with budget robot vacuum tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates dual cameras that can detect objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its direction and clean them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml of water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only negative I discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these advanced features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its innovative design lets you to customize and efficiently clean while saving time.

In addition the X40 is extremely quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of noise when switching between modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another standout feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to access low-profile furniture, making it a great choice for small apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 can do both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or in a series. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is intuitive and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, look at floor plans and maps and control mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it's done.

The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin and wash mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect when the mop pad is filled and alert you before it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive available, but it packs in numerous additional features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature on its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and other small dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models and it could be a useful method to keep your home cleaner for longer.
There's a plethora of options available that include the ability to schedule cleaning times and alter a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app or direct buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options for customizing the cleaning process, and there are numerous features that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list - at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping system is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
