It's important to note that mapping takes some time and may take a few tries before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate image of your space. In addition the object detection is hit or miss; it was able to skirt furniture and other obstacles, but was stuck on a loose tassel rug and had to turn itself over to free itself. These are minor issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those in need of an all-purpose cleaning tool that can do everything.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features a rotating motion similar to hand scrubbing which results in floors that are actually cleaned and not just being swept. The detachable vacuum stick is an absolute game changer that can reach places even robot vacuums cannot.
This model is essentially identical to the well-known X2 Omni but with a slightly increased suction power of 8,700Pa as well as a few other smart features. The RGBD sensor upgrade is able to learn your home's surroundings and provide the ability to avoid obstacles in a dynamic manner. Its navigation technology performed well, navigating close to walls without crashing and staying clear of stairs. However, it did struggle with fine-grained debris and was not always able to remove raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise level is also relatively high, so it may be less of a "set-and-forget" model than some.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, is equipped with docking systems that allow it to refill its clean water, empty the dust bin and wash and dry the mop, and empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance simple and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors in regular schedules. You can control all its functions using the Eufy app. It provides a clear overview and plenty of configurability.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the top robot vacuums/mowers available, and it provides amazing mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor can recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with decent accuracy, and the app lets users fine-tune coverage of the map, define zones that are not allowed to enter, and set cleaning preferences. The main roller brush of the Freo is also designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it, which could be a big pain point with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM, while applying upward pressure of up to 12N. The mopping system has smart carpet detectors, which lift these pads up when they are near soft surfaces in order to avoid contamination.
The all-in-one docking station serves as a hands-free center for maintenance which is capable of automatically drying and washing the mops, and refilling them with water and detergent. The base station has an integrated dust removal system that compacts dust, which allows for 7 weeks of uninterrupted maintenance.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars cheaper than the S8 This robot does a bang-up job of keeping my office tidy and is able to take on the corners of my tiny apartment. It makes use of laser mapping and a camera to create a map of your space, so it knows where not to go. It has an object/obstacle detector that can block things like dog bowls and toys (but not Poop), unlike many vacuums.
It has other great highlights, such as the self-emptying dust bin and a mop pad self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water and a side-reaching brush that can reach places that other mops can't reach. You can also adjust the settings for each room and set up cleaning schedules.
Similar to the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping and can distinguish between carpets, laminate and hardwood with high-pile rugs. It can also skip cleaning rooms that aren't dirty if you're looking to save time. 7. Q5 Pro
This robot is a great choice when you're looking for a robot that can perform regular maintenance on a daily basis and touch-ups to wet messes. It offers a broad range of features like self-emptying dustbins and an additional water refill dock, and customizable settings in the app. It is surprisingly quiet and can easily maneuver around furniture legs or socks. However, it can't pick up tangled rug tassels and it's battery drains a little quicker than other models in our tests.
With a price tag of less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly device that packs powerful suction and a handy automation into a slick design. It didn't perform as well in our mopping and mopping tests as the much pricier Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however it performed very well overall. It has a variety of cleaning options, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet mode which is suitable for small debris to the more powerful "Turbo mode" for carpeted areas. It can even remove and reconnect the mop pads, without getting your carpets soaked.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for those who live in small spaces. It's very quiet and fast and does a great job of navigating tight spots. It also does a very nice job of getting pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than many of its competitors however, it doesn't compromise any features. It has good suction power and can be configured to take photos of each object it chooses (i.e. chew toys, socks) and mark them in the app as "not found' to ensure that they are not removed in future cleanings. The photos are secure and aren't tied to your account.
It is capable of vaccuming but isn't as effective at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes you clip onto the bot's bottom, and then it drags them around your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal that have water reservoirs that can automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
